The Tropicana Laughlin and Happy Times Events will be hosting their 2nd Annual Cinco De Mayo Car Show and Fiesta Weekend May 2-May 5, 2013 featuring some of the hottest classic cars, bikes and low riders from all over the country, live entertainment and retail vendors.

The Laughlin River Run is the largest motorcycle event on the West Coast and draws upwards of 20,000 Harley Davidson and motorcycle enthusiasts every year. The Tropicana Hotel and Casino is pleased to offer great entertainment, outdoor food and party venues, a charity poker run and a motorcycle giveaway for guests to enjoy.
Harley Davidson Motorcycle Giveaway
The Tropicana will be drawing a winner on Saturday, April 27 at 11 p.m. to drive off with a 2013 Harley Davidson Switchback.
Beginning Wednesday, April 24 through Saturday, April 27, guests can begin collecting drawing tickets for the motorcycle for every 100 points earned on their Trop Advantage card. To kick off the event, guests will earn 2X bonus drawing tickets on Wednesday, April 24.
American Heroes Poker Run
On Friday, April 26 at 8 a.m., guests are invited to join the American Heroes Poker Run, co-sponsored by Dal-Con Promotions and Mother Road Harley Davidson. The donation to participate is $10 and includes a breakfast sandwich and coffee or orange juice. All proceeds benefit the American Legion, Post 87.
Participants will have the opportunity to win a 2014 River Run Package.
Tribute to Bad Company and Iron Maiden
On Friday, April 26, Rad-Co will take the stage in the Pavilion Theater. Rad-Co hails from Southern California and features Steven St. James on lead and keyboard, Jon Wilson on Bass, Gary Rubinstein on guitar and Rocky Romano on drums. They truly capture the essence of Bad Company, with melodic vocals and a big sound.
Then, on Saturday, April 27, the Iron Maidens will take their turn in the Pavilion Theater. The Iron Maidens cover Iron Maiden material from all eras of the band’s career, encompassing the band’s biggest hits as well as fan favorites. The stage show includes appearances by Maiden mascot Eddie, the grim reaper, the devil and more.

The Tropicana Laughlin holds a monthly $2,500 slot tournament with proceeds being donated directly to the River Fund.
The next tournament is Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the tournament area by the Roundhouse Buffet. Buy-In is $10 or 5 non-perishable food items. The tournament pays to fourteen places, with the first place winner walking away with $1,000 in free play.
In 2012, the River Fund Tournament at the Tropicana collected over $3,000 in cash donations and over 7,000 pounds of food for the Colorado River Food Bank.
In a recent letter to the Tropicana, Treasurer of the Colorado River Food Bank, Darryl Dauenhauer, wrote, “The Colorado River Food Bank is an all-voluneteer organization dedicated to providing food and clothing free of charge to residents of both Nevada and Arizona. Without the support of community-minded companies such as the Tropicana, we would not be able to fulfill the ever-increasing demand for food to those in need in our community. “
